You better somehow remake this and finish it! This tiny lil loop is phenomenal! I could definitely see it as a theme for some epic, 8-bit space adventure.

Hikari responds:

Thank you, I didn't expect this work to be so well received for the level of completion! Your review fills me with determination to complete this!

Rad cover of a classic bossa nova song. Personally I would go a bit more legato on the melody, but the staccato sound does add a bit more funk to the overall song.

Makes me wanna smoke a big fat doobie and sit on the beach watching the sun go down.

phosphorusprocedure responds:

Thanks, dude! I'm looking into doing other Jobim tunes in the future.

Or if you want to suggest any other cool tunes for me to try out, you can do that too!

Thanks for listening!

Now that's what I call a groovin jazzy jam. It sounds delicious.

I am also totally not high right now and totally not enjoying this fucking rad song.

Xenogenocide responds:

Hahaha, thanks man! I'm not high either!

Holy fuck i'm gonna have to drop a freestyle over this tomorrow haha

FelTiProductions responds:

Do it.

Things will get better, man. Just remember that without the absolute garbage times in our lives we wouldn't be able to appreciate the beautiful moments that we truly live for.

Besides, at least these hard times helped inspire you to make this gorgeous piece ;)

Navy-BlueSky responds:

Hey Acoustatic,

Thanks dude, I really appreciate it. This summer is going to be a time of self-healing for me. We'll see how many more guitar pieces I can crank out in that time ;)

Check out my youtube channel. I only have a single video on there right now but I will be uploading more, including this song. /user/metaorphicvxt

Sweet Jesus this is like drinking ten shots of espresso then driving a rocket ship into the atmosphere while cocaine gets pumped into your bloodstream via IV.

Get FUCKING PUMPED!

SynchroSpectre responds:

o.O Yeah, I tried to give it that feel. Brought the two harmonizing synths to the max :o

That was much more epic than I expected! From the title I expected a gentle piano waltz, and instead I was met with an enormous orchestra, pounding timpanis, and an overall atmosphere of fantastic adventure.

Gorgeous music, keep up the good work my friend.

samulis responds:

Thanks dude! Yeah, it's late here and I felt like it fit the idea of darkness quite nicely. Besides, I already used "Waltz of Death". XD

The beginning melody and harmony on the piano are nice, but it sounds too obviously like a midi and it detracts from the song and turned me off to the piece at first. I think it would sound a bit better with an actual piano or a better piano synth. The rest of the song is sporadic and really enjoyable. I like the bassline and your choice of synth for it, the 32nd note hi hats, and the higher synths used for the main melodies. It's a dark, tense piece, and besides the midi in the beginning it's a really enjoyable piece.

Karmakosm responds:

Thanks for the review, I'm definately gonna try to relayer the quality of this some more and that really gives me some things to work on.

Very nice, relaxing song. Starts off very simple, with just a pretty chord progression and a simple melody to help ease the transition between the chords, then the drums kick in around 2:00 and it starts to get a bit more complex with the addition of a few counter melodies in the synths. Then right around 2:40 the counter melody takes on a sporadic life of it's own, up until right around 3:30 when the song reaches it's apex.

All in all it's a very nice, fairly simple sonic journey for the listener to sit back, relax, and live life to. Nice job.

I record/mix/master audio, mix live sound, and make music. Hmu if you wanna collab or something.
